Transform Your Stencils: Bluebirds
Transform a simple stencil into a work of art! Many people know how to use multiple colors and gradations in a stencil, but you can take it a step further and use it as a painting guide. Sara will show how the design of stencils, with their positive and negative spaces, provide the information needed to “fill in the blanks.” With our adorable blue bird stencil on a wooden heart, and “crust medium” by Paint Couture, Sara will show you how to make your one of a kind wall art with a raised, textured finish. You will be able to work at your own level, creating the look you want. These wooden hearts have two sides, one smooth and one with “planks’. We have chosen the smooth side for this project, and will be offering a class to paint the other side in the near future. So watch website and social media! Project description: We will first paint the wooden heart in acrylic paint, either like the sample or your own version. Sara will demonstrate the various techniques and crust medium by Paint Couture, followed by a step by step process as a class. Additional hanging hardware can be added to the top with rope or ribbon for hanging.
