New! Holiday Signboard: Patriotic

Introducing the first of our new Holiday Collection signboard! We have planned these to coordinate with our seasonal signboards– (the Bobber, the Butterfly, the Snowman, and the Blackbird.)  Like those, these are double-sided to add another design to the other side at a future workshop. This is a great workshop to start out the summer with America celebrating 250 years. Display it periodically or all year!   I ( Sara) had so much fun distressing this board! Taking it from a smooth, unfinished board, to rough and beaten up was loud, but fun! For more details, read on below.  This is a paint and sip style workshop. Bring your own favorite beverages and snacks. Coffee and tea are available on us. Ages 18+ for this workshop please!  The price of these new holiday signboards will vary, depending on the design and how much prep and time they take.

Project Description:  We begin with an unfinished board, 1″ x 12″ x 3′     Using various tools, including hammers, we will distress the board on the edges and surface, roughing it up to look old.  After we stain the board to our liking, we will be using acrylic paint and nailing the star in place. Guilding wax is available in various metallics to add to your star if you like.  Ear plugs for noise protection and safety glasses will be available while we distress the boards.
