Fabulous Flamingos in Watercolor

A great introduction to watercolor painting, this step by step class- paint and sip (anything) style- is sure to sell you on watercolor paint!  No need to worry about drawing skills! The outline of the flamingos’ heads, necks, and legs is available to transfer onto your paper if you wish. The most fun is in the fluffy bodies. See what watercolor paint can do with very little effort, making you look like a pro!   This class is geared towards adults but open to teens as young as 13.  Painters younger than 16 will need to fill out a registration form with a guardian’s signature at the class.  Bring your own favorite beverage, otherwise, we have coffee, tea or cocoa available. Note-we do not sell or provide alcoholic beverages at our studio, but you are welcome to bring your own. Purchase your ticket in advance! Project Description:  We will use watercolor tube paints from a variety of brands including but not limited to: Winsor & Newton (Cotman line) & Grumbacher.    Our watercolor paper is cold pressed, 140 pound,  size 11×14   After transferring the lines of the flamingos, we will trace those lines with a permanent black, fine-lined pen.  Watercolor steps are demonstrated first, and a piece of practice paper is available.  All materials are provided.
