Painting Snow with Watercolor Workshop

Learn how to use tints of blues and other “cool” tones to paint snow scenes, such as this snowman with water color paint. All supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish. No previous experience is required to attend this event.  This workshop will introduce basic watercolor techniques in painting the shadows of snowy scenes.  Expect to watch demonstrations by local artist, Sara Porter, practice techniques, and apply those techniques to an 8×10 painting of a snowman.   Topics covered:  materials, colors, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, shadows & highlights,  resist and lifting techniques.  This class is limited to 8 painters, for easier viewing and individualized instruction. Bring your own favorite beverages and snacks, or enjoy a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate on us.  Ages 16+ for this event, please.
