DESCRIPTION:SCHOOL IS OUT! Calling all kids and teens 12+ let’s have some fun! Adults–feel free to join us in this paint and sip style class. An outline of the puppy is pre-drawn in advance\, so no drawing skills are necessary. While the outline is merely a guideline\, we will stay together as a group\, step by step. Painters are free to make any adjustments to make it their own. Skip the tongue or make his ears droop a little differently… it’s all up to you! SUMMARY:Transform Your Stencils: Bluebirds
DESCRIPTION:Transform a simple stencil into a work of art!  Many people know how to use multiple colors and gradations in a stencil\, but you can take it a step further and use it as a painting guide. Sara will show how the design of stencils\, with their positive and negative spaces\, provide the information needed to “fill in the blanks.” With our adorable blue bird stencil on a wooden heart\, and “crust medium” by Paint Couture\, Sara will show you how to make your one of a kind wall art with a raised\, textured finish. You will be able to work at your own level\, creating the look you want.  These wooden hearts have two sides\, one smooth and one with “planks’. We have chosen the smooth side for this project\, and will be offering a class to paint the other side in the near future. SUMMARY:Snowman's Cardinal
DESCRIPTION:This snowman has had better days\, as he helplessly watches this cardinal steal thread from his scarf.  If you never tried painting with a pottery sponge\, you are in for a pleasant surprise! The entire background and body of this snowman is done with a pottery sponge\, resulting in a soft\, fluffy effect. We use transfer paper to apply the outline of the bird\, scarf\, hat and carrot.  You will have the option to put a smile on your snowman instead of the surprised expression\, and you can skip the pulling thread if you wish.  If you do opt for the thread\, we can help you by request– either by painting it for you or offering a brush tip marker in a coordinating color.   To achieve the depth of color in the scarf and bird\, we will be painting with 3 tones of paint\, starting with the darkest tone. Our instructor will guide you\, step by step\, to get the look!  Join us for a fun afternoon and bring home a snowman to add to your collection! We accept all skill levels. SUMMARY:Paint the Northern Lights in Water Mixable Oil Paint
DESCRIPTION:Many Minnesotans saw the Northern Lights this past November\, and some captured beautiful photos of the reds and greens. Why not try your hand at painting them? If you’ve never tried water-mixable oil\, you’re in for a real treat!  “Water-Mixable Oil” sounds like an oxymoron! This paint offers the benefits of oil paint with the easy clean up of soap and water instead of paint thinner. While acrylic paint dries quickly\, limiting the paint’s ability to blend smoothly\, this paint remains wet like traditional oil paint\, allowing for beautiful blending that oil painters love. We take advantage of this “open paint time” to create the glowing streaks of color in the sky and snow that looks as soft as a blanket. As usual\, this is a paint and sip style class\, so enjoy a hot beverage on us\, or bring you own favorite beverage or snack. Allow for a full 3 hours\, and prepare to leave with a tacky-wet painting. We recommend hanging your painting on a nail out of reach and just enjoy looking at it while it dries. Drying time varies with humidity levels and paint thickness. Faster than traditional oil paint\, thin layers of this paint can be dry to the touch within hours to a few days\, thicker layers can take several days to a week or more. We paint this on a larger canvas- 16×20.  We feel it is a deserving subject for at least that much! \n“Kick-in” the New Year with us at Kicks! \nThis class is for ages 18+ please! \n$50 \nTicket Policy: \n*No refunds \n*Register in advance! DESCRIPTION:“Kick” in the Holiday Season with us at Kicks! Our first Saturday class in November is  “Snowy Christmas Tree”\, glowing in the darkness of a snowy December night. These are “paint and sip” style classes– we provide coffee\, cocoa\, tea and cider\, or bring your own favorite beverage and snacks! A great option for a team-building work party\, family gathering\, girls night out\, date night\, or for your own personal enjoyment. We’ll help you create the look with sponges\, brushes\, spatter painting and even finger painting! Our goal is for you to have fun\, relax\, laugh\, and leave with a painting you never thought you could do yourself.  Ages 16+ for this class please! \n$45 \nTicket Policy: \n*No refunds \n*Register in advance! Registration closes at 8PM the night before. Last minute registrants\, call to check on availability. \n*We reserve the right to require a registration minimum; classes are subject to change. \n*Any cancellation by us will result in a credit towards a future class or a refund.
