DESCRIPTION:Introducing our newest project– a wooden signboard with planter at the base. Display living or artificial plants all year long! Season-neutral patterns allow you to switch out plants to match the holidays.  A beautiful addition to your front entry. See project description below for more details. Bring your favorite snacks and beverages\, or enjoy a hot coffee\, tea or cocoa on us. Ages 18+ for this workshop please!  (Flowers not included) \n$175 \nProject Description:  Backboard is 4 feet tall and 12 inches wide. Base is 12 inches square.  We first distress each board in the project– which is a fun way to get your aggression out!  We’ll show you our little tricks to make that wood look as old and beat up as you want it to be. You choose a gel stain color and a stencil design from 3 options. We will show you each step along the way\, assisting as needed. The last step is to assemble the boards\, which we do right in our shop.  Ear protection is available during the distressing portion of the project- it gets LOUD! Plan to use a variety of tools\, with some standing and sitting on a stool\, possibly some kneeling during the assembly portion. SUMMARY:Bluebirds on Wood: Upgrade Your Stencil Skills!
DESCRIPTION:Transform a simple stencil into a work of art! Many people know how to use multiple colors and gradations in a stencil\, but you can take it a step further and use it as a painting guide. Sara will show how the design of stencils\, with their positive and negative spaces\, provide the information needed to “fill in the blanks.” With our adorable blue bird stencil on a wooden heart\, and “crust medium” by Paint Couture\, Sara will show you how to make your one of a kind wall art with a raised\, textured finish. You will be able to work at your own level\, creating the look you want. These wooden hearts have two sides\, one smooth and one with “planks’. We have chosen the smooth side for this project and have another class that paints the other side in a patriotic theme. So watch website and social media for that class to return! Space is limited to only EIGHT\, so don’t wait to sign up! Note the earlier deadline for ticket purchase! Ages 16+ please for this workshop. \n$65 \nProject description: We will first paint the wooden heart in acrylic paint\, either like the sample or your own version. Sara will demonstrate the various techniques and crust medium by Paint Couture\, followed by a step by step process as a class. DESCRIPTION:The fall sign board is back for another workshop! You can come paint this on a new signboard\, or bring back your spring\, summer\, or winter signboards and paint the other side for a $10 discount. This signboard doesn’t require any prep-work; we begin on the raw\, unfinished wood. Our signboard workshops are 4 hours\, as we like to take our time\, and take a break in the middle as needed. Bring your favorite snacks & beverages\, or enjoy a coffee or tea we have available. This is a beautiful sign to put on your front step September-November! We believe the “Welcome” for our signboards are understood by the viewer as they approach your front door. With art like this\, how could they not feel welcomed? There’s no need for drawing skills to paint this design\, we provide graphite transfer paper to transfer your image. These workshops are for adults 18+ please!
