SUMMARY:The Bobber
DESCRIPTION:If the father in your life is a fisherman\, here’s an option for you.  Consider painting The Bobber for him or scheduling quality time painting together! The Bobber has been very popular on our large\, wooden boards\, but we also offer it on this 10×20 stretch canvas. Text on the Bobber is completely optional and not necessary to have a complete painting\, but you are welcome to add your name to the Bobber or special order a name added afterwards at an additional cost. This class is designed to be paint and sip style\, with no experience necessary. Bring your own beverage/treats\, or enjoy a coffee or tea on us!  Ages 16+ is recommended for this painting. For a younger teen friendly class for Father’s Day\, see our Fishing Lures Painting on June 19\, which will be ages 13+. \n$45 \nProject Description: 10×20 stretch canvas\, acrylic paint   beginner level    We use a template for the circle and the basic shape and lines of the bobber.  Details such as bubbles are added with a few little tricks up our sleeve. The fish line itself is done with a white paint marker. Assistance is available throughout the class\, as time allows. DESCRIPTION:Learn how to paint mountains and trees in a similar technique as a certain well-known painter— the one with the hair! Once upon a time\, Sara took the classes as a teenager in the back aisles of a Ben Franklin\, which sparked a love of painting\, and eventually a degree in studio art. This is Sara’s version of painting with his brush and paint knife techniques with acrylic paint\, rather than oil. This is a later-beginner level painting\, but first timers are always welcome. SUMMARY:Loon in Water-Mixable Oil Paint and Sip
DESCRIPTION:This year\, during the Loon Festival\, we are going to paint a loon in water-mixable oil paint. It doesn’t sound possible\, but Winsor and Newton has a line of oil paint that is able to be thinned with water\, yet offers much of the same qualities as oil paint. This paint is easy to use thinned down to get the soft\, blended look so characteristic of oil paint. For more details\, read project description below.   Ages 18+ for this class please! \n$50 \nProject Description: 12×16  stretched canvas    Water Mixable Oil Paint    We will begin our painting with the loon\, water and upper sky with a black under-painting with acrylic. The rest of the painting is done with thinned water-mixable oil paint over the top. With W.M. Oil\, It is surprisingly easy to add the colors and white dots when the loon is already black!\nBecause we are using a thinned-down technique\, it doesn’t take as long to dry as usual. DESCRIPTION:Back by popular request! The Bobber is our summer design from our 4 season collection. Our signboards are double sided\, offering the ability to paint another season on the other side for $15 off. If you are bringing a board from a previous class\, please read instructions below*.
