DESCRIPTION:This bumblebee has been feasting on a lot of nectar! Your bumblebee doesn’t need to be as chubby as this guy\, but we’ll help you make it as fuzzy and chubby as you wish. We often hear comments that the wings look difficult\, but they are actually much easier than they look. We dilute the paint with water to make it transparent\, which also helps to wash off mistakes and try again until you get the wings you like!  There’s a subtle honeycomb pattern imprinted on the background that is optional\, as well as the flowers.  A little iridescent paint on the wings will add a nice touch! DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered how to paint loosely with watercolor for that “effortless” look? Try the tricks of the trade with local artist\, Sara Porter\, as your instructor. With demonstrations and one-on-one assistance\, this is a hands-on experience that will open up your painting to a whole new world! This is a 3 hour workshop with a focus on learning rather than our regular paint-along classes. All supplies are provided\, but you may bring any of your own favorite watercolor paints\, brushes or paper.   We will be practicing on Strathmore 400 Series cold press 140 lb paper.  This workshop is designed for adults and teens ages 16+\, of beginner level.  If you’ve dabbled with watercolor and struggle to “let go” of tight detail control\, or have always wanted to try watercolor–this is the class for you!  Techniques and subjects covered may include\, but not limited to\, the images shown.  Learn how to start a painting when you have painters block\, and practice “seeing” in shapes and patterns to develop your subject.  Learn how to let watercolor do what it does best.  Bring your favorite beverages and treats\, but as always\, enjoy a coffee or tea on us. DESCRIPTION:We will be using the technique of embossing our paper to create the veins in these leaves. Don’t like drawing? This class begins with transferring the leaf outlines with graphite paper\, so no drawing skill necessary! You’ll be able to choose up to 3 leaf shapes and position them on the watercolor paper (9×12) to your liking. This is a great class to relax and enjoy watching watercolor perform for you as only watercolor can. Effects and colors seem to just “happen”.
