SUMMARY:Penguin's Pretty Petals
DESCRIPTION:Calling all kids and teens ages 10+ for “paint and sip” style fun! Paint along with local artist\, Sara Porter\, your own cute penguin in petals! For the “sip” option of this event\, we have cocoa\, tea\, and a keurig on sight\, or bring your own favorite soda and snacks!  For painters under the age of 16\, guardians are not required to stay  AFTER a registration form is filled out and signed\, but you may want to stay nearby\, as this class is only 1- 1/2 hours. Please purchase your ticket in advance! See project description and ticket policy below. \n$35 \nProject Description: Acrylic paint on an 8×10 canvas\, step by step\, from blank canvas to finished art.  Plan for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.  Acrylic paint does not wash out of clothes once it is dried. Aprons are provided. \nTicket Policy: \n*No refunds \n*Sign up in advance! Ticket sales close at 8PM the night before. DESCRIPTION:Introducing our newest project– a wooden signboard with planter at the base. Display living or artificial plants all year long! Season-neutral patterns allow you to switch out plants to match the holidays.  A beautiful addition to your front entry. See project description below for more details. Bring your favorite snacks and beverages\, or enjoy a hot coffee\, tea or cocoa on us. Ages 18+ for this workshop please!  (Flowers not included) \n$175 \nProject Description:  Backboard is 4 feet tall and 12 inches wide. Base is 12 inches square.  We first distress each board in the project– which is a fun way to get your aggression out!  We’ll show you our little tricks to make that wood look as old and beat up as you want it to be. You choose a gel stain color and a stencil design from 3 options. We will show you each step along the way\, assisting as needed. The last step is to assemble the boards\, which we do right in our shop.  Ear protection is available during the distressing portion of the project- it gets LOUD! Plan to use a variety of tools\, with some standing and sitting on a stool\, possibly some kneeling during the assembly portion. Join us for a paint and sip style class with water-mixable oil paint\, with the blend-ability and open work time minus the fumes!  Bring your own favorite beverage\, or enjoy a coffee\, tea or cocoa on us. See project description for more details. Ages 16+ for this class please! \n$50 \nProject Description: Water-mixable oil paint on a 12×12 square stretched-canvas prepped with a grey background. Prepare to leave with a sticky canvas\, and allow around 2 weeks to dry to touch.  Paint is oily to the touch\, but thins with water.
