SUMMARY:Make Your Own Patriotic Centerpiece
DESCRIPTION:Flag day is coming up\, not to mention Independence Day around the corner! This is the year to make something special! We’re bringing out the metal hoops again\, this time to show you how to use them as a free-standing display.  These hoops can be used for hanging solo or in groupings\, or in various centerpiece arrangements. Sara will demonstrate how to arrange and secure flowers in different compositions with the hoop\, and help you make your own! Enjoy this afternoon workshop while sipping your favorite beverage and feel free to bring your own snacks! We will have coffee and tea available. See project description for more details. \nAges 18+ recommended for this project. Space is limited for this project\, don’t wait to sign up! \n$45  (Candle not included) \nProject Description: 12″ gold metal hoop with wooden stand.  We will be using various red\, white and blue silk florals & greens\, with floral wire\, floral tape\, wire cutters\, and potentially a hot glue gun. Floral foam is also an option.  Embellishments such as ribbon and raffia will also be available. You will view demonstrations and receive assistance as needed.  If you plan to display a candle with your centerpiece\, we recommend that you bring either the candle or its dimensions to ensure it will fit correctly. We do not recommend burning a real candle with these centerpieces. Fairy lights and battery candles are lovely options\, as well as no candle at all– the flowers and hoop alone is a beautiful display either on a table or hanging.   NOTE: This project demands a certain amount of dexterity of the fingers\, and some of us will be using our reading glasses! \nTicket Policy: \n*No refunds \n*Sign up in advance! SUMMARY:New! Holiday Signboard: Patriotic
DESCRIPTION:Introducing the first of our new Holiday Collection signboard! We have planned these to coordinate with our seasonal signboards– (the Bobber\, the Butterfly\, the Snowman\, and the Blackbird.)  Like those\, these are double-sided to add another design to the other side at a future workshop. This is a great workshop to start out the summer with America celebrating 250 years. Display it periodically or all year!   I ( Sara) had so much fun distressing this board! Taking it from a smooth\, unfinished board\, to rough and beaten up was loud\, but fun! For more details\, read on below.  This is a paint and sip style workshop. Bring your own favorite beverages and snacks. Coffee and tea are available on us. Ages 18+ for this workshop please!  The price of these new holiday signboards will vary\, depending on the design and how much prep and time they take. \n$60 \nProject Description:  We begin with an unfinished board\, 1″ x 12″ x 3′     Using various tools\, including hammers\, we will distress the board on the edges and surface\, roughing it up to look old.  After we stain the board to our liking\, we will be using acrylic paint and nailing the star in place. Guilding wax is available in various metallics to add to your star if you like.  Ear plugs for noise protection and safety glasses will be available while we distress the boards. \nTicket Policy: \n*No refunds \n*Sign up in advance! DESCRIPTION:We are celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary with a wooden wall hanging event. With various star stencils\, paint colors\, knob selections\, there’s room for creativity while following along\, step by step. Check out that gold leaf! This is a “paint and sip” style workshop\, feel free to bring your own beverages (including wine) and snacks! We will provide coffee and tea. Great date night option or a girls night out! We have limited space for this event\, so don’t wait to get your ticket! Ages 18+ please for this event. \n$60 \nProject Description:  One wooden heart with vertical panels on one side\, smooth on the other. We are using the paneled side\, but can tape off the back if you want to paint another design on the back for another use! We first distress the board with stain\, and apply the colors with glaze and/or thinned down acrylic paint. After stenciling the stars\, numbers and words\, we use a gold leaf application wherever it’s desired– a sparkly mess\, but lots of fun!  We have various knobs in acrylic or metal for you to choose from.
